Windows shares can still be found in the network However, I have not
restarted the server yet.

Thanks for your respons. If it's a local configuration it only became
apparent after the upgrade. After some further searching on the web I
started doubting whether I really needed winbind for my local network.
So, I just removed it. Without any problems so far.
